Hey, I'm Shreya. I work across engineering and policy. I'm currently in legal tech, and building a govtech startup focused on community consultation. I like taking messy, bureaucratic problems and make them accessible for communities.

✦ Prologue

I grew up between two languages: policy and product. One writes the rules, the other rewrites them. I like translating between the two.

From parliamentary offices to startup war rooms, I keep ending up in places where the work is unglamorous and the impact is real: law firms drowning in facts, regulators trying to keep pace, founders trying to ship.

Act I

Four crafts, one storyteller

Sales

"Stories that close."

To me, sales is about understanding each person's problem distinctly, their motivations, their incentives, and then working to solve it well. I listen first, then tell a story so that the problem is clear and the solution is clear enough. Having sat on both the technical and customer sides, I can speak to what people actually care about rather than reciting features.

Act II

The chapters so far

Chapter 1

Co-op Computer Science Scholarship Recipient

· Scholarship

2024 - Present

I was fascinated by computers from a young age. I loved that technology was driven by innovation - that it could solve real problems in new, more sustainable ways. So I started a computer science degree, and was awarded the Co-op Scholarship, one of only four students chosen that year. That's where I built my foundations: everything from the low-level bits of how machines work up to algorithms, processes, and how technology actually gets built.

Chapter 2

Electorate Officer

Office of the Member for Berowra · Internship

May 2024 - Jun 2024

My first taste of how policy affects real people. Behind every member of parliament is a quiet machine of data, communication, and process and it was fascinating to work inside it. It was where I learned that the technical and the human aren't separate problems; they're the same one, viewed from different sides.

Chapter 3

Technology Advisory Intern

Parliament of NSW · Part-time

Jul 2024 - Jan 2025 · 7 mos

Technology and policy advisor to the Hon. Jacqui Munro. Jacqui is the kind of politician who genuinely cares about innovative solutions, she'll hold her ground, but only after she's listened to every policy and community in the room. Working with her, I helped build technology policy and programs aimed at making AI more ethical and more sustainable.

Chapter 4

Software Engineer

Mutinex · Internship

Sep 2024 - Apr 2025 · 8 mos

Sydney, NSW

I shipped inside a marketing-mix modelling platform, joining just after their Series A. It's where I learned how real product teams actually move, how to build a product scope, write the code, review and ship it to real users. Startup environment taught me how to move fast, iterate and scale.

Chapter 5

Founding GTM & Operations

Mary Technology · Full-time

Apr 2025 - Present

The first GTM hire and employee number ten at 19 years old. At Mary, I do growth, sales, and all the operations holding it together. I've spent this chapter scaling a mission I care about, making legal work more accessible and honestly, more structured and enjoyable for the lawyers doing it.

Act III

Worlds I love working in

My north star is legal, government and regulation — places where clarity is a public good.

✦ Epilogue

The next chapter usually starts with "hello".

Building something in legal, government, or regulation? Or just want to swap notes on going from policy to product? I'd love to hear about it.
